About Me
Hey, friends! My name is Maria and I am the owner of Thread of Roses! I’m a wife, mama and the one-woman show behind this embroidery escapade. I love alternative rock, jeweled headbands and M&M cookies. I was born in Louisiana, grew up in Las Vegas, and returned to my roots for college. There, I fell in love with a small-town Cajun boy and now, we’ve landed in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. We have a beautiful and sassy daughter who is the inspiration for Thread of Roses. Embroidery started as a hobby, making cute, personalized pieces for her, and quickly grew into a full-time home business. I genuinely love talking to people and getting to be creative in making your visions come to life. I feel so blessed that I get to wake up everyday and make people happy one pretty piece of clothing at a time!
